1. Information We Collect
TenPace collects and processes the following information to provide its services.
Account & Authentication
- Google Sign-In: Account identifier (UID) and email address (if provided) linked via Firebase Auth
- Apple Sign-In:UID linked via Firebase Auth on supported platforms including iOS, web, and desktop (Apple's private relay email address, if provided)
- Android supports Google Sign-In only.
Information You Enter or Create in the App
- Tasks & Schedules: Title, category, priority, estimated duration, due dates/periods, time boxes (time blocks), completion status, routine settings
- Profile & Settings: Schedule rhythm preferences (wake/sleep/focus times), notification settings, profile photo (image selected from device, optional)
- Daily Context:Selection of "free time" slots per date (used to assist auto-scheduling scores)
- Search & Analytics Display:The above data is displayed within the app's task list and analytics screens (no third-party ad-tracking SDKs are used)
Optional Features (Only When User Consents or Initiates)
- Google Calendar: A premium feature; when connected or imported, calendar events (title, time, etc.) for the selected period
- Apple Default Calendar (iOS):When import is initiated and calendar access is granted, events from the device's default calendar for the selected period
- Export to External Calendar: Event information synced to Google Calendar when TenPace-created schedules are exported
Information Required for Service Operation & Improvement
- Usage & Behavior Aggregation: App usage patterns including task creation, completion, and deferral; scheduling method (auto/manual) and change history; completion/deferral patterns by time slot (2-hour blocks); actual time-to-completion statistics (average/maximum); and app usage frequency and active time periods. This data is summarized and stored as events in Firestore. All collected data is anonymized and aggregated in a form that cannot identify individual users, and may be used for service improvement and feature enhancement, as well as for marketing analysis and promotional or marketing materials describing the effectiveness of the service. Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics) SDK is not used.
- Push Notifications (FCM): Device tokens and device IDs are stored in Firebase to enable notification delivery and sync triggers on Android and iOS.
- Subscriptions (Premium): Subscription status and product identifiers are processed via RevenueCat. Payment card information is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play; TenPace does not collect it directly.
- AI Classification & Recommendations: When adding tasks or using auto-scheduling, task titles (and any additional context you provide) are sent to the OpenAI API to receive category, priority, and time recommendations. No data is sent when offline.
On-Device Storage (Local)
- Task data, settings, Daily Context, and sync-pending data are stored locally on the device using SQLite, SharedPreferences, etc. for offline use and fast display.
- A daily schedule summary is stored on-device for the Android home screen widget.
2. How We Use Your Information
Collected and processed information is used for the following purposes:
- Managing and syncing tasks, routines, and time-boxed schedules
- Logging in via Google or Apple accounts and linking user data
- Importing calendars and syncing with Google Calendar as requested by the user
- Local and push notifications (tasks, reports, etc.) and FCM-based sync assistance
- In-app analytics, weekly/monthly reports, and usage pattern aggregation
- AI-based task classification and time-scheduling recommendations
- Providing and restoring premium subscriptions
- Improving service stability and quality, and responding to errors
- Marketing analysis and use of anonymized, aggregated usage data in promotional or marketing materials
3. Data Retention & Security
- Local-First: Task and schedule data is stored locally on the device (SQLite, etc.) and synced with Firebase Cloud Firestore after sign-in.
- Transport Security: All communication with servers and the cloud is protected via HTTPS/TLS.
- Access Control:Firestore data is partitioned by the signed-in user's UID.

TenPace uses the following external services, each governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Sharing of Personal Information
TenPace does not sell or trade your personal information for advertising purposes.
However, anonymized and aggregated usage data may be used in promotional or marketing materials to describe the effectiveness of the service. In such cases, the data is used only in a form that cannot identify any individual user.
Your information is otherwise processed or shared only as required by applicable law, lawful requests from investigative authorities, or to the extent necessary with the above-listed third parties (cloud, payment, and AI processing) essential to providing the service.
6. Data Retention Period
- General Data: Retained for as long as your account is active and maintained in Firestore and local storage while signed in.
- Deleted Task Sync: To prevent conflicts across devices, deleted task IDs may be retained as tombstones for up to 30 days before removal. (This is separate from full account deletion.)
- Account & Data Deletion: When requested by the user via Profile → "Info" → "Delete Account" in the app, the Firebase Auth account, Cloud Firestore user data (under
users/{UID}), and local on-device storage (SQLite, SharedPreferences) are deleted immediately. Re-authentication with Google or Apple may be required. Deleted data cannot be recovered. Active subscriptions are not automatically cancelled; you must cancel them separately through Google Play or the App Store. If in-app deletion fails, contact selcom856@gmail.com.
7. Children's Privacy
TenPace is not directed at children under the age of 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights:

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be revised as needed. Any revisions will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date on this document (posted in the app and on this website). Significant changes may be announced via in-app notices or other appropriate means.
